Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit www.trainingpots.com, contact Training POTS or book a consultation, why it is used, and what rights you have. It is written to comply with Chilean data protection law (Law No. 19,628 and Law No. 21,719, in force from 1 December 2026), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and equivalent principles in other countries.
1. Data controller
Training POTS is run by Isabel Valdés, physiotherapist, based in Chile. For any question about your data, email info@trainingpots.com.
2. What data we process and why
Browsing the site. The site has no forms, user accounts or comments. Our hosting provider processes minimal technical data (IP address, browser type, date and time) to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. We do not use this data to identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure, working site.
Your privacy choices. We store your cookie choice in your own browser so we don’t ask again on every visit. Legal basis: necessary to respect your choice.
YouTube videos. Video covers are shown from our own site. YouTube only connects when you press play or if you accepted videos in the privacy notice. At that point YouTube (Google) receives data from your browser and may set cookies under its privacy policy. Legal basis: your consent, given by accepting videos or pressing play.
Visit statistics. If you accept statistics, we use Google Analytics 4 to learn how many people visit the site and which content is useful. Google may set cookies for this under its privacy policy. We do not use this data for advertising or to identify you. If you don’t accept, it is not loaded. Legal basis: your consent.
Emails you send us. If you write to us, we use your name, email and message to reply. Legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest in answering it.
1:1 consultations. Bookings and payments are made on the Encuadrado platform, which acts under its own privacy policy. To provide the consultation, Isabel receives your contact details and any health information you choose to share. Health data is sensitive data: it is only processed with your explicit consent, solely for your care, and kept with the confidentiality that applies to healthcare. Legal basis: explicit consent and providing the service you request.
YouTube membership. The membership, payments and billing are handled by YouTube (Google). Training POTS does not receive or store your payment details; it only sees what YouTube shows creators, such as your public username.
We do not sell or rent your data, we do not show ads, and we do not make automated decisions or build profiles about you.
3. Cookies and browser storage
| Type | What it does | Needs your permission? |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Remember your privacy choice and keep the site secure | No (always on) |
| Embedded videos (YouTube) | Play videos inside the site; YouTube may set its own cookies | Yes: by accepting them in the notice or pressing play |
| Statistics (Google Analytics) | Measure visits and site use, no advertising | Yes |
You can change your choice at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
4. Who we share data with
Only with providers needed to run the site and services: our website hosting provider, YouTube/Google (videos, membership and statistics), Encuadrado (consultation bookings and payments) and our email provider. Each processes data under its own policies and legal obligations. We may also disclose data if an authority lawfully requires it.
5. International transfers
Training POTS operates from Chile, and some providers process data in other countries, such as the United States. We choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or other recognised mechanisms.
6. How long we keep data
- Emails: as long as needed to reply, and up to 24 months after the last contact.
- Consultation data: for the period required by Chilean law for healthcare records.
- Privacy choices: 12 months; after that we ask again.
- Hosting technical data: the short period set by the provider for security.
7. Your rights
You can ask at any time for:
- Access: to know what data about you we process.
- Rectification: to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: to delete your data, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Objection: to object to certain processing.
- Portability: to receive your data in a commonly used format.
- Restriction (blocking): to temporarily suspend processing.
- Withdrawal of consent, without affecting processing carried out before.
Email info@trainingpots.com. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to Chile’s Personal Data Protection Agency (Agencia de Protección de Datos Personales) or to the data protection authority in your country (for example, your EU national authority, the ICO in the UK or the OAIC in Australia).
8. Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and we collect as little data as possible. No system is 100% secure, but we apply reasonable measures to protect your information.
9. Children
This site is intended for people aged 18 and over. Minors should only use it with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from minors without that permission.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our services or the law change. The “last updated” date shows the current version. If a change is significant, we will announce it on the site.
