About Training POTS
The idea
Training POTS (TP) was born from noticing something that kept happening to many people with dysautonomia: they improved in rehabilitation, but were left without a safe bridge between “I’m better now” and “I can really work out again”.
That in-between space — the most challenging and the least supported — is exactly where TP comes in.
Here, the goal is to give you real movement alternatives that respect your energy level, your physiology and the stage you are in.
Every workout is designed so you progress at your own pace, with clear, safe, accessible progressions adapted to the unique challenges of living with a sensitive autonomic nervous system.
I help you keep moving
It’s not just about exercising. It’s about rebuilding your relationship with your body, regaining confidence and finding a way to move that doesn’t leave you drained for three days. That’s why Training POTS combines science, clinical practice and lived experience with dysautonomia, to walk with you step by step.
“Your recovery doesn’t end with rehabilitation… this is where your new strength begins.”
Your instructor
I’m Isabel Valdés, a physiotherapist specialised in dysautonomia, POTS and heritable connective tissue disorders. I have more than 12 years of experience in rehabilitation and, since 2020, I have worked almost exclusively with people with dysautonomia during their recovery.
I have studied complementary areas that strengthen this integrative approach: Chinese Medicine, Manual Therapy, Yoga, breathing techniques, chronic pain management, lymphatic drainage, neurodivergence and trauma.
My approach combines the musculoskeletal perspective with autonomic nervous system regulation and movement education. And, by the way, I also live with dysautonomia — I know what it is like when everything feels “too much”, I know what it is like to start over, and I know how transformative a good workout plan can be.
Through Training POTS, my mission is to help you regain function, energy and autonomy, without fear of relapsing and without over-demands disguised as “motivation”.
Here we work out with respect for your physiology… and with ambitious but achievable goals.
